デリック・メイ主宰のTransmatからもリリースしてきたBizが、自身のSubjektレーベルから限定シリーズ第3弾をリリース。デトロイト・テクノのスタイルを継承しながら、未来的なサウンドを追求した全6トラックを収録するミニアルバム。 Biz has some serious techno credentials, having landed on esteemed labels like Transmat and Acquit Records before now, and here he is back on his Subjekt label with a third outing in his limited series. This is cerebral techno steeped in Detroit style but looking to the future. 'No Pain, No Gain' is awash with crystalline pads over a surging groove, 'Monozukuri' gets more prickly with metallic percussive textures and a forlorn lead. 'Manipulate' unhinges from reality with trippy synth cascades that remind of 8bit video games and the flip then has a more introverted sound across three minimalistic, deep rhythmic excursions.
