Glenn Davis anchors the EP with “Whatcha Gonna”, a powerful, funky track with a retro ’90s twist. Jovonntte delivers “Dexter Ave”, a lush, hypnotic groove that feels timeless, while Detroit veteran Rick Wade’s “Hammer”—originally released on CD, finally gets the recognition it deserves on wax with its heavy, sweaty throb. On the B-side, Japanese producer DJ Compufunk serves up a punchy, propulsive track, “Cosmic Echoes”, with just the right amount of cheeky charm, and Lee Andre closes with “Space Groove”, a sensual and warm nu-disco vibe.
